Shannon Sharpe has maintained a massive physique and joined coach Hany Rambod for a chest workout.
Bodybuilding coach Hany Rambod is leading competitors into the 2024 Olympia in just two weeks. In this post we detail Shannon Sharpe’s impressive physique and chest workout routine with Hany Rambod.Â
Shannon Sharpe played 14 years in the NFL and revitalized the position a bit. He was a true pass catcher ranking first all-time in catches (815), receiving yards (10,060), and receiving touchdowns (62) at the time of his retirement. All records have since been broken but Sharpe’s impact on the game remains clear. He is also a three-time Super Bowl champion having won back-to-back titles with the Denver Broncos in 1997 and 1998 and Baltimore Ravens in 2000.

In retirement, Sharpe has transitioned to television and media while maintaining a dedicated workout routine and diet plan. He has worked under the guidance of different bodybuilding legends, including Milos Sarcev and now Hany Rambod.
“He is definitely one of those that could definitely have crossed over if he wanted to. Hell, he could still cross over if he wants to.”
Sharpe hit a chest workout led by Rambod in a recent video shared on YouTube.
Shannon Sharpe’s Chest Workout
Rambod put together a session for Sharpe that was made up of nine exercises:
- Incline Chest Press Machine
- Horizontal Multi-Press Machine
- Low Chest Fly Machine
- Decline Chest Press Machine
- Cable Crossovers – Pushups Superset
- Cable Tricep Pushdown
- French Press Machine
- Standing Tricep Pressdown Machine
The workout began with machine-heavy exercises that hit the chest at different angles. This includes incline and decline movements with flyes mixed in.
“On a lot of these machines, you’re going to feel like that complete range. That’s why they are considered like the Ferrari because it feels smooth.”

Rambod saw the physique of Shannon Sharpe and believes he could have found his way into the bodybuilding world if he wanted to. He is not the first NFL player who has impressed to this point. Phil Heath recently said he could have J.J. Watt “stage ready” in a few months.
During this workout, Rambod told Sharpe to focus on stretching, even using less weight, to help muscle growth.
“What we want to do is stretch so everything gets really stretched out. Less likely to get hurt, don’t have to use as much weight and then you get a lot of good muscle growth and then when you start dieting, you can get more detail so you can look extra ripped.”
Hany Rambod has been working with some of the top competitors in the world for years now. This includes Chris Bumstead in Classic and Derek Lunsford and Hadi Choopan, who have won each of the last two Olympia titles. He is preparing for what could be another successful show in just two weeks.
