Urs Kalecinski is confident heading into the 2024 Arnold Classic.
German bodybuilder Urs Kalecinski has established himself as a top-three competition in Classic Physique and is read to take the next step. That can happen with a big performance this weekend during the 2024 Arnold Classic. Kalecinski is confident heading into the show in Classic and recently shared his picks to win Men’s Open at the Arnold Classic as well.
The Classic Physique division continues to grow but is still dominated by Chris Bumstead, who has won four consecutive Olympia titles. Kalecinski is looking to improve upon his standing from his last two times out.
Kalecinski finished third at the 2022 and 2023 Olympia competitions. He was the runner-up at the Arnold Classic last year. This means he has been behind Bumstead and Ramon Rocha Queiroz over the last year. The goal for this year is, the same as any other year, to change the guard in the Classic Physique division and take down Bumstead.
Kalecinski has used Ramon Dino and Chris Bumstead as motivation because he wants to beat the best and believes he can in Columbus.
“If you don’t have this rivalry, you’ll never be a great champion. And I want to be a great champ for a long time. It kicks my ass and gets me fired up. I don’t want to win against some guys. I want to win against the best in the world and I also want to win against Chris.”
Urs Kalecinski joined Dennis James on The Menace Podcast to discuss the upcoming event and even shared his thoughts on Men’s Open.
Urs Kalecinski’s Top 6 Arnold Classic Prediction
The predictions for the Arnold Classic have been going one way primarily. Of course, this is with former Olympia champ Hadi Choopan at the top followed by reigning champion Samson Dauda.
Kalecinski decided to go a different way:
- First Place – Samson Dauda
- Second Place – Hadi Choopan
- Third Place – Rafael Brandao
- Fourth Place – Marcello De Angelis
- Fifth Place – James Hollingshead
- Sixth Place – Antoine Vaillant
Rafael Brandao has taken his game to another level over the last year and believes 2024 is the year that he shows it on stage. Brandao was inactive over the last year and put in extra work to make improvements to his physique. He shared that he is about 15 pound heavier than he was during the 2022 Olympia.
The action will play out beginning on Friday morning in Columbus. The 2024 Arnold Classic is loaded in each division and has a chance to be one of the most entertaining shows in years.
