On the weekend of October 10-14 2024, the best bodybuilders of the year faced off at the Mr. Olympia competition. The 2024 Mr. Olympia certainly was one for the books. Not only was it a celebration of the 60th anniversary of the prestigious event – we also had a brand new champion in the form of Samson Dauda dethroning Derek Lunsford to take the title.
While not the complete end of the bodybuilding season, it marks the moment that all bodybuilders shift gears and start focusing on qualifying for the next Olympia competition the following year, yes putting on muscle mass and then dropping body fat to be the absolute best you can be takes a long time. It is the event that all bodybuilding athletes strive towards winning.
Now that the Mr. Olympia has concluded and the judges have picked their champion winners, it’s time for the fans to decide their favorite and best bodybuilders of the year. Enter the 9th Annual Generation Iron Bodybuilding Awards.
How To Vote In The Generation Iron Bodybuilding Awards 2024
The GI Bodybuilding Awards contains 15 categories breaking down the best athletes of the year. Based off of a nominee list selected by industry experts, the final vote is decided by the fans. Categories can be judged off of body parts such as the best chest or the best legs, but also can be judged off of the athlete themselves. We may already have a Mr. Olympia champion decided by the judges – but who will the fans proclaim the best athlete of the year?
The Bodybuilding Awards do not only have options for the best overall athletes of the year. It also has the best in specific categories such as Most Improved, Best Up-And-Comer, and Best Posing Routine.
