Highlights from the 2024 Arnold Classic Wellness prejudging.
The 2024 Arnold Classic will crown a new Wellness champion this year. The third rendition of the event in Columbus began with prejudging on Friday morning and it featured a group that does not include a former champion.
Isabelle Nunes won the first-ever Arnold Classic Wellness title in 2022 and Kassandra Gillis was crowned champion last year. Neither will be present this year, which means there will be a third winner in three years. Francielle Mattos leads the group as the competitor to beat. Mattos is a three-time Wellness Olympia champion and has won each competition that the division has been present on the biggest stage.
Mattos headlined the first callout, along with Bruna Seredich and Isabelle Pereira Nunes. It was a full group with six competitors being called out immediately. Mattos and Nunes spent a majority of the time in the center as judges put them through multiple rounds of posing.
This was the group that returned for the third and final callout. There might be a clear top four heading into the final on Friday night and it will be interesting to see if Mattos can be taken down.
