He also competed at the Olympia 10 times. Yamagishi also won the Europa Pro Dallas and Monsterzym Pro in 2019. His biggest moment came in 2016 when he won the Arnold Classic in the 212 division.

In December, it was officially announced after many rumors that the Masters Olympia would return. It is scheduled for Aug. 25-27 at the BT Arena in Cluj Napoca, Romania. The competition began in 1994 with Robby Robinson being the first champion. Vince Taylor totaled six consecutive victories from 1996-2001. After the 2003 show, the event took a break until Dexter Jackson was crowned champion in 2012.

The prize purse has been set at $229,000 for the show. This gives fans a chance to watch any of their favorite competitors from years in the past. There is not an official roster just yet but some athletes have spoken against a return to the show. This includes Jay Cutler, who has been seen in the gym, shredded and hitting some classic poses. Cutler quickly shut down rumors of a competitive return.

Hidetada Yamagishi is officially on the roster and many fans will get a chance to see the legendary 212 competitor once again. It will be interesting to see who follows suit in the upcoming weeks.
