In December, it was officially announced after many rumors that the Masters Olympia would return. It is scheduled for Aug. 25-27 at the BT Arena in Cluj Napoca, Romania. The competition began in 1994 with Robby Robinson being the first champion. Vince Taylor totaled six consecutive victories from 1996-2001. After the 2003 show, the event took a break until Dexter Jackson was crowned champion in 2012. The prize purse has been set at $229,000 for the show.

There will be all 10 divisions in bodybuilding present in Romania for the Masters Olympia. Some of the top competitors of all-time will be back on stage but there are many that denied as well. This includes Jay Cutler, who has been seen in the gym, shredded and hitting some classic poses. Cutler quickly shut down rumors of a competitive return.
