Jay Cutler shared his picks for the top of the 2024 Mr. Olympia competition!
The 2024 Olympia is set to kick off action on stage tomorrow afternoon from Las Vegas. Bodybuilding legend Jay Cutler has been up to date in the sport during his retirement and continues to share his opinions. Recently, Cutler made his Top 7 predictions for the upcoming Olympia competition.
“We’ll find out the second week of October who our champion is going to be for the 2024 Mr. Olympia.”
Cutler knows a lot about winning on the Olympia stage. He was involved in one of the best on-stage rivalries with Ronnie Coleman during his prime. After multiple second-place finishes, Cutler won back-to-back titles in 2006 and 2007. He regained his title in 2009 as well, becoming the first bodybuilder to win an Olympia title after losing the year before.
Cutler has created a successful social media page in retirement. With the biggest show of the year coming up, he shared his top competitors to watch.
Jay Cutler’s Mr. Olympia Predictions
Jay Cutler shared what he believes will be the top competitors at the Olympia this weekend:
- Derek Lunsford
- Hadi Choopan
- Samson Dauda
- Andrew Jacked
- Brandon Curry
- Martin Fitzwater
- Hunter Labrada
“We have last year’s champion Derek Lunsford coming back. Hadi Choopan was your champion prior to Derek. He’s trying to win the title back and do something that’s never been done before since I had done that in 2009 and the only one to ever do it in history. I think those guys are definitely going to be battling for the title.”

It is not easy for a bodybuilder to win an Olympia title back after being topped previously. Cutler brought up how he was the only one to do so, winning titles in 2009-2010 after losing in 2008.
Samson Dauda and Andrew Jacked continue to gain plenty of attention, including from bodybuilding legend Lee Haney.

“Samson Dauda, he was third last year. He is definitely fighting for that position, definitely a frontrunner. Andrew Jacked coming up, who is looking tremendous these days.”

Jay Cutler also discussed some dark-horse options for the show, including Hunter Labrada and Martin Fitzwater.
“We also have the dark horse Martin Fitzwater. He’s really coming up. We also have Hunter Labrada, who was in the hunt last year. It’s a crowded top six this year but I think potentially, there can be anyone that wins it.
I don’t think it’s a lock for sure for Derek to repeat.”
