Larry Wheels William shared a photo on Tuesday night from a hospital bed and revealed that he has Rhabdomyolysis. The powerlifter, strongman and bodybuilder burst onto the scene because of his insane size and feats of strength in powerlifting. During his career, he also dabbled in bodybuilding and arm wrestling. In 2018, Wheels made his bodybuilding debut by competing in the NPC Gold Coast Muscle Classic, where he won gold. Now, a return could be on the horizon after a successful run in many other fitness ventures.

Around this time last year, Wheels began getting his health checked by doctors. After using different steroids for over a decade, Wheels decided to ween off gear and begin using testosterone replacement therapy. While on TRT, Wheels has shared many physique updates where he remains shredded and is putting size back on.

Outside of the gym, Wheels has been working to open his own gym. This would be the first for Wheels and would accomplish a big goal. He partnered with Ryan Benson of Team Zero Gravity to accomplish this goal. The gym will be called “OG Gym” and stands for One Generation.

Rhabdomyolysis is a severe condition where damaged muscle tissue breakdown and releases the protein myoglobin into the blood stream. This release of the protein can damage the kidneys. Constant fluid replacement through an IV can be a treatment to avoid damaging kidneys.

Wheels has yet to make a detailed statement about this condition. He has been tailoring his training to compete as a bodybuilder. This means getting the right conditioning that can win on stage.

Larry set two world records by 2017 and became an inspiration for people along his journey. Larry is now one of the strongest powerlifters in the world, with a massive following.

Not content simply succeeding as a world class powerlifter, Larry Wheels was determined to showcase just how far the human body can be pushed. He decided to start competitive bodybuilding (while maintaining his powerlifting lifestyle), which is similar to former Mr. Olympia champ, Ronnie Coleman, or fitness influencer, Mike O’Hearn.
