“I’m able to still push and get a few reps off my max weight, which is good. Now, get soe rest and go start again next week.”
Dauda has proven that he is a true force in Men’s Open and this has been the case since his debut. In 2022, he finished in the Top 10 at his first Olympia competition and shot up the scorecard in 2023 — when he was top three. Dauda is now preparing to make it two victories in a row.
Dauda gave fans an immediate look at his physique in March when he appeared as a guest poser in Brazil. He was coming off a second-place finish at the 2025 Arnold Classic. It was a loaded field in Men’s Open and former champion Dauda was looking to regain his title and stay on top of the bodybuilding world after the Olympia. Now, his sights are set on the biggest competition of the year.

“These last four weeks are fine tuning the little details. The big details are already there, they’re clear. The stubborn details that make it all come together, to go from ‘holy sh*t he’s looking crazy’ to ‘holy f*ck, lights out.’ This is that last four weeks.”
Samson Dauda won his first Olympia title in 2024, defeating the likes of Derek Lunsford and Hadi Choopan. He quickly returned to competition in the 2025 Arnold Classic, where he finished as the runner-up to Lunsford. This sets up an intense battle at the end of the year during the Olympia.
“This is basically, you’ve washed the car, you’ve cleaned it off. Now, it’s the polish, the shine. This is the last four weeks.”
