Can Akim Williams break into the top three at the 2024 Mr. Olympia?
Pro bodybuilder Akim Williams is preparing to take the stage during the 2024 Mr. Olympia. Williams made his return this year following a shoulder injury and has looked impressive on stage. On Wednesday, Williams shared a recent physique in the form of a posing video and looks ready to be the dark horse in the men’s open division.
Williams was shut down in 2023 following shoulder surgery to repair an injury. In April 2023, Williams shared that he had competed at the 2022 Olympia and 2023 Arnold Classic dealing with an injury from a car accident the previous year. He underwent shoulder surgery to fix the issue and has been working to get back on stage since.
Williams made his return to the stage at the 2024 Arnold Classic and was a contender in the Men’s Open division. He finished sixth at the event before preparing for his next appearance. Williams was crowned champion at the 2024 Toronto Pro Supershow in June and punched his ticket to the Olympia taking place Oct 11th – Oct 13th 2024 at the Resorts World Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Williams is no stranger to the Olympia stage. He has appeared on the biggest stage in the sport five times, highlighted by a sixth-place finish in 2020. This year, Williams is considered a dark-horse competitor in this field and could sneak his way into the top five if he brings his very best to the stage.

Williams, also known as “The BK Beast” is known in the bodybuilding world as one of the strongest athletes currently competing in the IFBB Pro league. He has also long been hyped as a contender to one day win the Mr. Olympia title. Last year, he finished sixth at the Arnold Classic. This came after a disappointing 16th place finish at the 2022 Olympia.
