Jeremy Buendia broke down the Men’s Open division, along with Classic and Men’s Physique, ahead of the 2024 Olympia.

Jeremy Buendia is a Men’s Physique competitor that knows a thing or two about winning on the biggest stage in bodybuilding. The four-time Olympia champion shared a YouTube video where he made predictions for the upcoming competition.

Buendia is one of the most successful Men’s Physique bodybuilders. He dominated his Mr. Olympia category from 2014 to 2017. He took a hiatus from competition following his appearance at the 2018 Olympia but made his return to the stage last year. Buendia finished eighth in Men’s Physique during the 2023 Olympia.

In May, Buendia shared that he ruptured his Achilles and shut down his 2024 season. Now, he is focused on recovering and returning to competition next year.

Jeremy Buendia’s 2024 Olympia Predictions

Men’s Open

  • First Place – Derek Lunsford
  • Second Place – Hadi Choopan
  • Third Place – Samson Dauda
  • Fourth Place – Andrew Jacked
  • Fifth Place – Nick Walker

Jeremy Buendia began by sharing his top five for the Mr. Olympia competition. Many who have made predictions have put the battle between Derek Lunsford and Hadi Choopan at the top. Buendia feels the same way heading into the show.

“I feel like there is a handful of guys in the Open bodybuilding division that have separated themselves from the pack, even at the Olympia level.”

Buendia also included Nick Walker in his top five. Walker received criticism following his performance at the 2024 New York Pro but has remained focused on placing high during the biggest show of the year.

Classic Physique

  • First Place – Chris Bumstead
  • Second Place – Wesley Vissers
  • Third Place – Ramon Rocha Queiroz
  • Fourth Place – Urs Kalecinski
  • Fifth Place – Breon Ansley

In Classic Physique, Buendia predicts that Chris Bumstead will win his sixth consecutive title but Wesley Vissers will make a run. He defeated Ramon Dino at the 2024 Arnold Classic and gained an advantage here once again.

“Wesley Vissers is on the rise. From an upper body standpoint, I believe he can stand with anyone, including CBum.

Where is he lacking is his leg development and fullness and size in his legs. That’s what’s held him back in the past. I think he could be the one to push Chris this year.”

The rest of the top five is rounded out by familiar faces Urs Kalecinski and former champion Breon Ansley. The top-heavy battle in Classic Physique is expected to be one of the best of the weekend.

Men’s Physique

  • First Place – Ryan Terry
  • Second Place – Diogo Montenegro
  • Third Place – Erin Banks
  • Fourth Place – Emanuel Hunter
  • Fifth Place – Corey Morris

Jeremy Buendia knows what it takes to win in the Men’s Physique division and sees reigning champion Ryan Terry defending his title successfully.

“This is the best Ryan we’ve ever seen. I don’t have any doubts that Ryan’s going to be able to do it but it’s definitely going to be an uphill battle for him that other guys might not have to face.”
