Nick Walker focused on efficient volume and controlled intensity during his latest workout.
Men’s Open bodybuilder Nick Walker has started his plans heading into the 2026 season. The ultimate plan includes training himself rather than working with a coach. Walker is 13 weeks out from his appearance at the Arnold Classic and has tailored his workouts to help improve in different areas.
Walker shared his latest back and arms workout that focuses on efficient volume and controlled intensity to help target muscle density on stage.

“Every movement in this session has a purpose, from building back thickness and detail to finishing off arms with precision and control. This is how I structure my training when the goal is consistent progress without burning out.”
After withdrawing from the 2024 Olympia, Walker made the decision to work with Kyle Wilkes as his new coach. After yet another Olympia has passed, Walker shared that he will be coaching himself moving forward. This came after his victory during the 2025 New York Pro and second-place finish at the 2025 Pittsburgh Pro, where he finished as the runner-up to Derek Lunsford.

Nick Walker put together an extremely impressive rookie season in 2021. This includes winning the New York Pro to qualify for the Olympia before earning his first victory at the Arnold Classic. Since then, Walker has dealt with different adversity in his career and he feels like it is time to return to the beginning.
“I feel like I need to go back to my roots for what made me. I’ve done too many changes in my life and I feel like I didn’t get better honestly.”
Walker was forced to miss the 2023 Olympia after suffering a hamstring tear. He returned to the stage during the 2024 New York Pro and was victorious, punching his ticket to the biggest show of the year once again. Walker received criticism following his victory and would later announce that he decided to sit out of the Olympia once again. Now, he is back at full strength and has high expectations for what’s ahead — and plans to come in and let his performance do the talking.
“I’m gonna stay low on this one, I’m going to go back to my old ways. Just let what I do do the talking from now on. I know what’s going to happen. That’s all that needs to be said. I’m not going to talk my sh*t. I’m going to come in the way I know how to come in and I’m just going to cause havoc like I always do.”
