Larry Wheels continues to train as a bodybuilder by taking on a shoulder day with Andrei Deiu.

Larry Wheels Williams continues to work his way toward the bodybuilding stage. He has shared his plans to compete in Classic Physique following the opening of his gym in 2024. And today he is known as an athlete who’s worked in powerlifting, strongman and more recently in bodybuilding. Recently, Wheels joined Men’s Physique bodybuilder Andrei Deiu for a monster shoulder day.

Larry Wheels was recently hospitalized and diagnosed with Rhabdo. He shared many health updates over the course of his career, including when he began getting his health checked by doctors. After using different steroids for over a decade, Wheels decided to ween off gear and begin using testosterone replacement therapy. This was no different. Wheels shared that he has been back in the gym and his strength is back to normal.

The powerlifter, strongman and bodybuilder burst onto the scene because of his insane size and feats of strength in powerlifting. During his career, he also dabbled in bodybuilding and arm wrestling. In 2018, Wheels made his bodybuilding debut by competing in the NPC Gold Coast Muscle Classic, where he won gold. Now, a return could be on the horizon after a successful run in many other fitness ventures.

Andrei Deiu is a professional bodybuilder and fitness model who has built a great following on social media due to his physique. He continues to workout for huge gains while keeping an elite physique in shape. Here, he led Larry Wheels through a shoulder day to build size.

Larry Wheels & Andrei Deiu Shoulder Workout

Seated Dumbbell Shoulder Press

The workout began with the duo hitting seated dumbbell shoulder presses. Larry Wheels explained how he has tailored his workouts to bodybuilding rather than powerlifting. Obviously, powerlifting asks for more weight being moved during workouts.

“The objective is to use minimal weight for the maximum contraction, right? With weightlifting, it’s lifting maximum weight. You don’t care about the contraction. You just want to move weight from point A to B, and to me that’s then part. So I’m adjusting.”

Machine Lateral Raise & Seated Dumbbell Lateral Raises

Lateral raises are a necessary exercise during any shoulder workout. Wheels and Deiu hit both machine and seated dumbbell lifts. First, they went to the machine for a few sets before hitting dumbbells.

Deiu spoke on the importance of side delt exercises. This is what he uses to build his shoulders primarily rather than presses.

“Usually for the side delt, just two. Just side then I get the rear delt, front delt,” Larry Wheels said.

“So you only do one for the side? I do two. So, let’s do two…I think we should do the machine ones and I think we should do DB butted a drop set on them,” Andrei Deiu said.

“Whatever I can do to get shoulders like that, I’m doing,” Wheels responded.

Reverse Pec Deck Flyes

Larry Wheels and Andrei Deiu then hit rear felt muscles directly. Shoulder workouts will hit all aspects of muscles with most lifts but the duo decided to isolate the rear delts with the reverse pec deck flyes.

Cable Front Raises

The final exercise of the day was another isolation lift to hit a certain part of the shoulder. Deiu opted for a rope attachment to perform the exercise.

Before hitting front raises, the two discussed how they usually hit front delts. Wheels explained how he usually hits this area when he does dumbbell or barbell shoulder presses.
